Diversity Month 2023

May is Diversity Month at Sorbonne University! Discover the programme of the 2023 edition.

In homage to Beate Collet

Diversity Month 2023 is dedicated to the memory of Beate Collet, who passed away on April 4. Beate Collet showed immense devotion as a sociology professor, the vice director of the GEMASS joint research unit, and the head of the mission “fight against discriminations.” Our thoughts are with her family.

Ensuring equality, diversity and respect is one of the priorities of Sorbonne University

On July 6, 2021, the Board of directors of Sorbonne University approved a charter outlining the modalities of the fight against all forms of discrimination

The academic year includes three moments of rich scientific and cultural activity which represent our commitment to these essential values:

  • Gender Month in November;
  • Equality Month in March;
  • Diversity Month in May.

Following on from the first Gender Month organised in November 2022, and Gender Equality Month in March 2023, the Equality Committee of Sorbonne University is proud to invite you to take part in the rich programme of the 2023 Diversity Month.
